Both the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals got nicked up in the first quarter of their Monday Night Football game in Mexico City.

Arizona’s proved to be lasting worries.

Receiver Rondale Moore left with a groin injury in the 38-10 loss after playing two snaps and did not return after taking a jet sweep for a six-yard loss on the first play from scrimmage.

The Cardinals inserted Greg Dortch in Moore’s place. Dortch entered the game with 25 receptions for 221 yards and two scores this year, but he’d left the regular rotation recently after being heavily utilized in the first four weeks of the season.

He closed with a career-best 103 yards, pulling in nine of 10 targets. It included a long of 47 yards, the first play over 40 yards for the team this season.

Moore has 41 grabs for 414 yards and one touchdown in seven games this season. He missed two games early on this year with a hamstring injury.

San Francisco lost cornerback Charvarius Ward and linebacker Dre Greenlaw late in the Cardinals’ second drive, which ended on a Matt Prater field goal that gave Arizona a 3-0 lead — the Cardinals’ only advantage of the night — with eight minutes left in the first quarter. Ward and Greenlaw were aided by trainers and returned by the next drive.

The injuries came with the Estadio Azteca turf taking a bit of moisture as a mild rain began falling on the game at kickoff.
