The MLB Winter Meetings have come and gone, and some of the top free agents are now off the board.

Aaron Judge stayed with the New York Yankees, Trea Turner joined the Philadelphia Phillies and Jacob deGrom surprised everyone by signing with the Texas Rangers.

There were plenty of moves made, but nothing moving the needle for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

So far, the only significant move the D-backs have made was adding 28-year-old relief pitcher Miguel Castro, who spent last season with the Yankees. Castro went 5-0 with a 4.03 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP in 34 games in 2022.

Reportedly the D-backs were interested in shortstop Xander Bogaerts, who ended up signing a big deal with the San Diego Padres, but it seemed that was never really a possibility for Arizona.

Could a sizable move be coming?

Will Arizona general manager Mike Hazen make a big splash this offseason?

Will the D-backs trade one of their young outfielders for an established major-league player?

In this week’s episode of The Ain’t No Fang Podcast, co-hosts Steve Zinsmeister and Cody Fincher discuss all those possibilities and recap the very busy Winter Meetings.
