The Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder will be the face of Baseball America magazine’s January edition, the team announced on Thursday.

Carroll, 22, was called up from the Triple-A Reno Aces and made his Major League debut on Aug. 29.

And in 32 games over the course of 37 days, the left-handed speedster slashed .260/.330/.500 on nine doubles, two triples and four home runs.

He also added 14 RBIs, eight walks and two stolen bases in his 104 at-bats, which doesn’t pass the MLB rookie status threshold and therefore allows Carroll to compete for the 2023 NL Rookie of the Year Award next season.

The cover page of the magazine also stated that Carroll “heads a talented trio of prospects atop Arizona’s system.”

One can only assume Baseball America is referring to Carroll, outfielder Druw Jones — the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft — and shortstop Jordan Lawlar, who was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2021 draft.

However, Carroll disagreed and tweeted in response, “A lot more than just a trio, I can promise you that…”

The rookie could also be alluding to the D-backs’ young and talented outfield corps, which includes the likes of Alek Thomas, Daulton Varsho and Jake McCarthy.
