The Big 12 announced Monday that Surprise Stadium has been selected as the new site for the Big 12 Baseball Championship.

The Big 12 announced Monday that Surprise Stadium has been selected as the new site for the Big 12 Baseball Championship.

The spring training home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers, the stadium will host the 12-team tournament, starting in 2026. The 2026 Big 12 Baseball Championship will go from May 20-23.

The tournament is operated in partnership with REV Entertainment, a sports and entertainment company.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with REV Entertainment as the Big 12 Baseball Championship moves to a world-class venue in Arizona,” Big 12 chief competition officer Scott Draper said in a Monday news release.

“Surprise Stadium is a premier facility that will create a great atmosphere and experience for our student-athletes and fans.”

Surprise Stadium replaces Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, as the hosting facility of the Big 12 Baseball Championship. The stadium has 10,714 fixed seats and offers additional seats in the lawn and suites.

“Bringing the Big 12 Baseball Championship to Surprise Stadium represents an exciting new chapter in our partnership with the Big 12 Conference and the city of Surprise,” senior vice president of REV Entertainment Jared Schrom said in the release.

“We look forward to creating a new tradition in Arizona starting in 2026.”
