Devin Booker ruled out with right groin strain for NBA Cup game vs. Thunder

Devin Booker has been ruled out with a right groin strain ahead of the Phoenix Suns' NBA Cup game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.

Guard Devin Booker has been ruled out of the Phoenix Suns’ NBA Cup quarterfinals game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.

Booker will now miss at least three games due to this injury after he was upgraded to questionable on Tuesday.

Jalen Green (right hamstring strain) and Isaiah Livers (right hip strain) remained out on Wednesday’s NBA injury report.

Dillon Brooks, who played against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday despite being questionable with right Achilles soreness, was not on the injury report.

In 22 games this season, Booker has averaged 25 points (on 45.7% shooting), 6.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game.

For the Thunder, Isaiah Hartenstein (right soleus strain), Isaiah Joe (left knee contusion) and Nikola Topic (surgery recovery) remain out.

Suns-Thunder tips off from Paycom Center at 5:30 p.m.

The winner of this game will advance to the NBA Cup semifinals to face the winner of the Los Angels Lakers-San Antonio Spurs quarterfinals game. The NBA Cup semifinals will be played at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday.
