Anybody miss the Dillon Brooks antics? It didn’t take long for them to show up as the Phoenix Suns opened the preseason Monday.

It was less than five minutes into a game at the Detroit Pistons when Brooks tried to keep Pistons forward John Collins from getting paint positioning early in an offensive possession.

Brooks gave Collins a hip check to let him know he was there, then pulled the chair out from under the forward when he tried to spin around the contact. Collins was already pleading with the refs when he stood up — to no avail — and Brooks kept the contact coming when Collins nabbed a rebound.

At that point, all bets were off, with Miles Bridges and Devin Booker the first Suns to come to Brooks’ support.

Collins went at Brooks’ neck in the scuffle that followed.

Following a lengthy review, Collins was assessed a flagrant 1 foul while Brooks received a technical foul.

Brooks led the NBA with 21 technical fouls last regular season. He will benefit from this one not carrying over into the regular season, where accumulating 16 marks a one-game suspension as well as every two thereafter.
