Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.’s time with the franchise is over.
The Cardinals are trading the wideout and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2027 second-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed the move postgame with reporters.
Harrison now reunites with former Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud.
The trade chatter surrounding Harrison kicked up another notch these past two weeks as he continued to be an afterthought in the offense.
He added to the talk by hiring a pair of agents who helped facilitate his exit in Arizona.
Then came Saturday, when Schefter reported the team was finalizing a Harrison trade. He added the wide receiver would be inactive for Arizona’s game against the Detroit Lions and the deal would be completed after Sunday’s slate of games.
The Texans were quickly linked as the team to watch in the Harrison sweepstakes.
Now, both sides get a much-needed fresh start.
For the Cardinals, that means continuing to lean on tight end Trey McBride and wide receiver Michael Wilson while finding someone to fill Harrison’s role the rest of the way.
For Harrison, it’s a chance to reset his NFL career and make good on the expectations that he could properly follow in his father’s footsteps.
He’s got another year on his rookie deal plus a fifth-year option to prove it after three seasons of 108 catches on 202 targets for 1,578 yards and 13 scores in 33 career games (30 starts).

Who cares what draft picks they got? With Monti picking, we know they won't amount to nothing but busts and early training camp injuries.
They traded MHJ for 'nothing'! How about a DL or OL? Unless the Cardinals get a new GM, the draft picks are useless given the success of Monti's previous draft picks.
Could be worse- a second round pick, Houston is 1-4 so we're probably looking at high second round pick 35-40.
