The Arizona Wildcats are going to be spending a lot of time on flights this season.
Trailing only Hawaii and Bethune-Cookman, Arizona will travel the third-most miles of any team in college basketball this upcoming season, according to RotoWire.
The Wildcats will play 14 games away from Tucson, spanning 12 road trips and 27,624 miles.
Arizona’s farthest road trip will be to the Maui Invitational in Lahaina, Hawaii. The distance between Lahaina and Tucson is 2,912 miles.
Some other prominent long-distance games for Arizona will be at Auburn, St. John’s, Iowa State, Kansas State, West Virginia and Cincinnati.
The Wildcats, though, are used to traveling a bit. The team took a preseason trip to Lithuania to face the Lithuanian and Ukrainian national teams in exhibition games.
Arizona will open its season on Nov. 2 in Las Vegas against UCLA.
