Injury Updates

Sonny Weems and Devin Booker are both fine, but got stitches above their eyes. The injuries happened in the fourth quarter of Thursday’s game.

Ronnie Price is going to have a concussion test on Saturday.

Coach Jeff Hornacek described Markieff Morris as “a little sore,” but doesn’t think he got an MRI. Whether he can play against Denver will be determined Saturday.

Bledsoe Balling

Eric Bledsoe’s season averages are up to 22.4 points, 6.5 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game coming off a 26-point, 10-rebound, nine-assist performance in the Suns’ win against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night.

Bledsoe is one of three players this season averaging over 22 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals per contest.

The other two? LeBron James and Russell Westbrook.

Bledsoe is shooting 47 percent from the field, 35 percent from three and 78 percent at the free throw line.

Going with a more offense-based search — Bledsoe is the only player in the NBA averaging over 22 points, six assists, 35 percent from three and shooting six-plus free throws a game.

Upcoming Schedule

Over the next five games the Suns only play one team with a winning record.

Three of the games are at home and they don’t have a back-to-back until the San Antonio Spurs on Nov. 23rd following the matchup at New Orleans (the first game after the five-game stretch).

On the opposite end, Phoenix is the second half of a back-to-back for the Denver Nuggets on Saturday and Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.

Anything less than 4-1 is a disappointment. They play the Nuggets twice, and the Lakers, Bulls and Pelicans once.

Former Sun Retires

Former Suns forward Hedo Turkoglu has decided to call it a career.

During Turkoglu’s 25-game run with Phoenix he averaged 9.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 2.3 APG on 44% shooting. He was part of the team’s plan to help replace Amar’e Stoudemire when they lost him after the 2009-10 season

From a positive perspective, the Suns were able to turn Turkoglu into Marcin Gortat when they traded him to the Magic. Gortat was one of the few bright spots for the Suns during a few down seasons.

Always remember…Hedo got the ball.
