There are several areas which need to be looked at by Jeff Hornacek’s team after the Phoenix Suns blew a double-digit lead in a 127-122 overtime loss to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday, but one positive was the big night by their first-round draft pick, Devin Booker.

Booker, who is from Grand Rapids, Mich., scored 18 points in his home state which is a new season high. He was 5-6 from the field and 100 percent on free throws (5-5) and three-pointers (3-3). His previous top scoring night was on Nov. 23 against the New Orleans Pelicans when he scored 15 points.

The Suns used their 13th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft on Booker, who averaged 10 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. For the Suns so far this year, he is averaging 4.9 points, 0.4 assists and 1.2 rebounds.

Jon Leuer also had a season high for the Suns Wednesday with 20 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals.
