Curry spends a day with twins, names them honorary captains

Warriors star Steph Curry made two young fans’ dreams come true, and it was all because a girl with leukemia decided to be selfless.

Ashley Wagner, a 14-year-old in North Carolina, was diagnosed with the disease and underwent treatment. In a video feature on SportsCenter, Ashley is shown wishing for a chance to meet Steph Curry – a hero of her twin brother, Grant.

Curry made that wish come true.

He invited the twins – and their family – to California to take in a Warriors game. First, they went mini golfing together. Later, Grant and Ashley were invited into the team huddle at a Warriors practice and were named that evening’s honorary captains.

With floor seats for a Warriors win, Grant had kind words for her sister, who used a wish to make both of them happy.

“She’s a special person,” he said.
