GCU notches blowout win over Coastal Carolina entering Mountain West play
Caleb Shaw scored 18 points as GCU beat Coastal Carolina in its final game before its first taste of the Mountain West.

PHOENIX (AP) — Caleb Shaw scored 18 points as GCU beat Coastal Carolina 82-61 on Saturday.
Shaw had seven rebounds for the Antelopes (6-4). Makaih Williams added 16 points, six rebounds and five assists. Nana Owusu-Anane had 11 points.
The Chanticleers (6-5) were led by Josh Beadle, who finished with 18 points and six assists. AJ Dancier added 13 points for Coastal Carolina. Reggie Hill had eight points and six rebounds.
GCU led 52-25 at the half, with Williams scoring 11 points.
The ‘Lopes will next play their first conference game in their inaugural Mountain West season at Wyoming on Dec. 20. They then pause for one game against IU Indy on Dec. 22 before kicking back into gear on Jan. 3 against Colorado State.
Jaden Henley, who had eight points in the win on Saturday, was a preseason All-Mountain West selection and is fourth among Mountain West scorers, averaging 16.6 points per game.
