3 Arizona natives make USA Basketball U18 team
The Grand Canyon State will be well represented on the USA Basketball U18 Team with three players making the roster with Arizona roots.

USA Basketball released the roster for its U18 team on Wednesday and it includes three players from Arizona.
BYU-commit Bruce Branch III, five-star combo guard Adan Diggs and four-star center Darius Wabbington all made the USA Basketball U18 team, with Arizona natives making up nearly one-fourth of the roster.
Branch is ranked sixth nationally in the 2026 class and committed to the Cougars in March. The 6-foot-7 small forward started his high school career at Perry High School, winning two state titles before transferring to Prolific Prep in Florida.
The second-ranked player in Florida earned McDonald’s and MaxPreps All-American honors in his final high school season, averaging 18 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks per game.
Branch was also named to the 2026 USA Nike Hoop Summit Team in January and played 13 minutes in Team USA’s overtime victory over Team World.
Diggs attends Millennium High School and is the top-ranked Arizona player in the 2027 class.
The 6-foot-5 combo guard has offers from Arizona and Arizona State, as well as Alabama, Houston, Kansas, Kentucky, Texas, North Carolina, UCLA and BYU, among others.
The five-star product was named MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year and earned first-team all-state honors from The Arizona Republic.
Wabbington has played three years on varsity at Sunnyslope High School and won the school’s first state title.
The 6-foot-11 center is the fifth-ranked player in Arizona for the 2027 class with offers from Arizona and Arizona State, as well as Alabama, Texas, Purdue, Texas Tech, UCLA, Louisville, LSU, USC and Washington, which he took an official visit to in October 2025.
Alabama’s Nate Oats will be one of the three coaches working with Diggs and Wabbington on the USA U18 Team.
The rest of USA Basketball’s U18 Team consists of players from eight different states, with Missouri being the only state with multiple players on the team other than Arizona.

So, to be clear, the one kid is from Florida . . . It's like saying J. Daniels won the Heisman for the Devils, when he played for LSU. Kid USED to play in Arizona, but finished in FLA. As for the other two kids, the offers they have lined-up are pretty impressive, except for the one's from Tempe; the rest are in a different class.
