Reactions from wild Chiefs-Bills playoffs overtime shootout

The first three playoff games of the weekend ended with walk-off field goals, yet Sunday night’s matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills outdid them all.

Kansas City went up 33-29 with 1:02 remaining after a wide receiver Tyreek Hill 64-yard touchdown catch-and-run.

The Bills took over the lead 36-33 with 13 second left, but Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes led his squad down the field to reach field-goal range.

Kicker Harrison Butker nailed it, and Kansas City scored a quick touchdown in overtime to win it.

The two sides scored 17 points combined in the final 1:13 of regulation to get to overtime.

The win sent the Chiefs to the AFC Championship game and Twitter into a frenzy.

There were three lead changes and a tie in the final two minutes alone. Mahomes and Bills quarterback Josh Allen combined to gain 707 yards through the air and 137 on the ground.

The Cincinnati Bengals will face the Chiefs next week, and they seemed to enjoy watching Sunday’s action as much as the fans.

Baker was referring to Hill’s touchdown dash, in which he reached 20.90 miles per hour, according to Next Gen Stats.

With the win, the Chiefs will host the AFC title game for the fourth straight season.
