Fiesta Sports Foundation, CW7 Arizona announce 2026 primetime high school football schedule

CW7 Arizona will air 11 high school football games live in an exclusive Thursday night window this upcoming season in partnership with the Fiesta Sports Foundation.

This is the second season of the Fiesta Bowl High School Football Showdown airing live on the television network and the fourth year that the Fiesta Sports Foundation has highlighted high school football. Weekly game coverage will open with a live pep rally broadcast during the week at the host school on CW7’s Arizona Daily Mix, followed by a live pregame show at 6:30 p.m. MST leading into the 7 p.m. MST kickoff.

A matchup between Mesa Red Mountain and Queen Creek Casteel will open the slate. The final slot has been left open to allow flexibility for the “most compelling” matchup.

“Spotlighting programs from northern Arizona, the West Valley, East Valley and across the Phoenix metropolitan area helps more Arizona families celebrate their teams on the biggest stage we can give them,” Fiesta Sports Foundation executive director and CEO Erik Moses said in a news release.

The Fiesta Sports Foundation will be on-site each week to provide further coverage and high school football activations.

“Through CW7 Arizona television and CW7 Arizona+, our free streaming app, viewers can follow the action wherever they are,” Nexstar Media Group SVP/regional manager Matthew A. Rosenfeld said.
