Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll made a fantastic leaping play on Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, robbing a home run from second baseman Tommy Edman.

In the top of the third inning, Edman ripped a Merrill Kelly inside fastball to right field, that sure looked like a dinger off the bat.

Carroll had a handful of steps to take before getting to the warning track, and as he approached the dirt, he was already locked into a strong beat on the ball’s path. He took a few more steps to get right in front of the wall and got an incredible jump, placing his head over the wall as he extended his glove to make the grab.

Carroll’s had his fair share of great defensive moments in right field to begin his career, including other denials of home runs. One in September of 2024 featured Carroll making his way to right-center in front of the pool, where he simply had to reach up on the shorter fence for the catch.

This one might top the list.
