D-backs place Zack Greinke on paternity leave, recall Silvino Bracho

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed pitcher Zack Greinke on Paternity Leave Thursday.

The 33-year has gone to be with his wife, Emily, as they are expecting their second child.

Greinke took the mound in a Wednesday night victory over the Padres, giving up three runs on seven hits in five innings of work.

In a corresponding move, RHP Silvino Bracho has been recalled from Triple-A Reno.

Bracho, 24, is in his fourth stint with the D-backs this season. He has surrendered five earned runs in 2.1 innings of work.
