Diamondbacks recall Drey Jameson from Triple-A Reno
Drey Jameson returns to the major league roster after making just three appearances last season.

The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled righty Drey Jameson from Triple-A Reno ahead of Saturday’s game against the Washington Nationals.
Right-handed reliever Kade Strowd was optioned to Triple-A Reno following Friday night’s game. After being acquired by the Diamondbacks in the offseason in a deal that sent Blaze Alexander to the Baltimore Orioles, Strowd was recalled to the majors on Thursday. He pitched one inning, allowing one run, one hit, three walks and one strikeout in the Diamondbacks’ 14-1 loss to the Nationals on Friday.
Jameson has appeared in 22 games across three seasons with the D-backs, posting a 2.65 ERA in 68 innings.
Jameson appeared in 15 games in 2023, posting a 3-1 record with a 3.32 ERA. He underwent Tommy John surgery in 2023 and missed the entire 2024 season. Jameson made just three appearances last season due to elbow issues, posting a 3.00 ERA in three innings pitched.
In 22 games with the Aces this season, Jameson has posted a 7.33 ERA in 23.1 innings, with 23 strikeouts, five saves and a 1.59 WHIP.
Manager Torey Lovullo commended Jameson on Saturday for working his way back up to the majors, improving his changeups and breaking balls.

The D-backs look to bounce back against the Nationals in the second game of a three-game series. Eduardo Rodriguez (5-1, 2.24 ERA) is set to start for Arizona against Washington right-hander Zack Littell (5-4, 5.01 ERA).

maybe I can make the roster
They send down Strowd while Abner has far worse numbers worse...both should have been sent down to AAA, traded or released.
Somebody (somebodies) need to get their head(s) examined.
