How to watch Diamondbacks-Reds on Friday night

The Arizona Diamondbacks’ television broadcast on Friday evening against the Cincinnati Reds will be exclusive to Apple TV as part of its “Friday Night Baseball” series.

The series opener at Great American Ballpark will start at 4:15 p.m. MST with Alex Faust (play-by-play), Ryan Spilborghs (analyst) and Tricia Whitaker (sideline reporter) on the call. There is a pre- and postgame show.

An Apple TV subscription is required to watch the live game, and there is a seven-day free trial available.

The Diamondbacks will be back on Apple TV a week later on June 19 against the Minnesota Twins. That will be a home game at Chase Field.

Apple TV recently announced its Friday Night Baseball schedule for July, and the Diamondbacks are back on it on July 3 against the Milwaukee Brewers, also at Chase Field.

On Friday, Arizona will look to end a three-game losing streak, having just been swept by the Miami Marlins. Left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez, the club’s most effective starting pitcher this season with a 2.52 ERA, will take the mound on Friday.

Cincinnati will also start a lefty, Nick Lodolo, in the opener.

The D-backs will get a boost coming off the injured list, as Jordan Lawlar will be reinstated, Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro reported.

The game’s radio call will be available on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app, per usual.
