Diamondbacks reveal 2027 schedule featuring opening day in San Diego, final series vs. Dodgers
The Diamondbacks will have a gauntlet to start the season and a brutal final 10 games against the Dodgers and Padres.

The Arizona Diamondbacks released their 2027 regular-season schedule, which will begin with three games in San Diego starting Thursday, March 25.
The D-backs will remain in California following the Padres’ series for three games in San Francisco.

Then, Arizona will have an off day to return to Phoenix for its home opener against the Miami Marlins on Friday, April 2.
The D-backs will open their season series with the division rival Los Angeles Dodgers as the second half of their first homestand (April 5-7).
Then the Diamondbacks will hit the road for a weekend series against the New York Yankees, before returning home the following weekend for a three-game series with the Padres and Chicago Cubs and then hitting the road for a weekend series at the Philadelphia Phillies.
Arizona’s first month of the season is loaded with tough matchups, including the Dodgers, Padres, Yankees, Phillies, Cubs and the up-and-coming Marlins.
Other notable series on the D-backs’ 2027 schedule
The Diamondbacks will travel to L.A. May 24-26 for their first road series with the Dodgers in 2027 and finish that road trip with a weekend series in Milwaukee (May 28-30).
Fast-forward to September, and the D-backs will close the regular season with 13 games against division opponents, including the last 10 against the Dodgers and Padres. Arizona will have one off day in its final 16 games of the season.

There will be plenty of holidays to celebrate with the D-backs at Chase Field in 2027, as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day will feature home games, as well as Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Arizona will finish a three-game weekend series with the Texas Rangers on Mother’s Day (May 9) and end a series with the Boston Red Sox on Father’s Day (June 20).
The D-backs will begin a three-game series with the Cincinnati Reds on Memorial Day (May 31) and start a three-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Labor Day.
The Diamondbacks will celebrate the Fourth of July with the final game of a four-game series against the Giants.
The D-backs will continue their 2026 season on Friday as they return from the All-Star break with a home series against the St. Louis Cardinals.

I kinda see this as a propaganda tool for the owners to have the fans rally against the players if the players go on strike or there’s a impasse in the CBA negotiations next March.

I don't see a McGuire/Sosa competition around the corner to bail this crap out when the season doesn't start. All the Ohtani in the world won't save it this time. Too bad because the other leagues seem to have figured it out and they are pretty damn competitive. The last answer in MLB was to simply water down the playoffs with participation trophies.
