The Arizona Diamondbacks have traded reliever Taylor Rashi to the Minnesota Twins in exchange for cash considerations, according to The Arizona Republic’s Nick Piecoro.

Arizona designated Rashi for assignment on Friday before agreeing to trade him.

The right-handed reliever struggled in his short big league stints, sporting a 5.40 ERA across 20 innings between 2025 and 2026.

However, Rashi’s been very productive in the minors since the San Francisco Giants drafted him in 2019.

He boasts a career 3.47 ERA in the minors, including a 1.03 ERA across 26.1 innings pitched this year.

The D-backs had acquired Rashi in the 2022 Rule 5 draft.

Career MiLB pitcher. Good riddance. Only about 5 more to go.

He has a 9.82 ERA for the 2026 season with the Dbacks...which was omitted from the story...stop trying to gloss things over. The reality is that he hasn't performed at a MLB level. Maybe his performance will change with a new team and settings.

It must be pretty humiliating for a player to be traded strictly for cash - not any other player(s), just the $'s. Maybe he will find some MLB consistency with the Twins.
