Friday’s series opener between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Minnesota Twins at Chase Field will stream exclusively on Apple TV.
The streaming service, which broadcasts weekly primetime MLB matchups on “Friday Night Baseball,” offers a seven-day free trial for first-time subscribers. Some are also eligible for full-month free trials, if redeemed before July 5.
Its base package costs $12.99 per month, while a combo with Peacock for $14.99 gets subscribers access to the NBC-streamed games as well.
Arizona will be featured on Apple TV again on July 3 for a home matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers (future games could also be flexed to the streaming service). Games on July 5 (vs. Brewers) and Aug. 23 (vs. Cincinnati Reds) will be exclusive to Peacock.
Apple broadcasters for Friday’s matchup will be Wayne Randazzo (play-by-play), Dontrelle Willis (analyst) and Heidi Watney (sideline reporter).
The Diamondbacks have won three of their last four games and four of their last six games entering the series with Minnesota. Friday’s matchup will see right-hander Michael Soroka (8-3, 3.11 ERA) take the mound for Arizona against Twins southpaw Connor Prielipp (2-4, 5.26).
The radio call will be available on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app, as per usual. First pitch is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. MST.
