Giannis Antetokounmpo dealt to Heat on eve of 2026 NBA Draft
Giannis Antetokounmpo was a two-time NBA MVP for Milwaukee and was named NBA Finals MVP when the Bucks beat the Suns for the 2021 title.

The Milwaukee Bucks are trading long-time franchise star Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat in exchange for four players, three first-round picks and a second-round pick and a pick swap, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The blockbuster trade, which also sends Bobby Portis to Miami, was reported on the eve of the 2026 NBA Draft.
As far as player compensation, the Bucks get Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kasparas Jakucionis.
One of the first-round picks acquired by the Bucks is the No. 13 overall pick on Tuesday night, Charania said.
Antetokounmpo played his first 14 seasons in the NBA for Milwaukee after being the No. 15 pick in 2013.
He was a centerpiece in the Bucks’ 2021 NBA title over the Phoenix Suns, being named the NBA Finals MVP that year.
The 31 year old closes out his Bucks tenure with two NBA MVPs (2019-2020) and 10 All-Star nods (2017-2026). He averaged 24.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, five assists and 1.2 blocks in 895 regular-season games with Milwaukee.
