Suns in talks with free agents Collin Gillespie, Jordan Goodwin

The Phoenix Suns haven’t wasted any time negotiating with free agents Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin.

Considered top priorities for the Suns this offseason, per Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro, NBA insider Jake Fischer adds that the duo has already been in talks with the team during the early negotiating window.

Fischer wrote in The Stein Line newsletter that “rival teams are already operating under the assumption that the Suns will strike new deals to retain both of them.”

The day after the NBA Finals concluded, Phoenix could begin negotiating with both Gillespie and Goodwin.

Gillespie is coming off a breakout year in which he averaged career bests in points (12.7), rebounds (4.1), assists (4.6), steals (1.2) and minutes per game (28.5).

He started 58 of 80 games — two more high points in his career — and set the new single-season record in franchise history in 3-pointers made with 232.

Goodwin, meanwhile, averaged 8.7 points on 41.3% shooting and 37.1% from deep.

He added 4.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game on his way to winning Phoenix’s 2026 Majerle Hustle Award, which is given to the player who showcased the most “hustle, grit and determination.”

Other Phoenix free agents this offseason include center Mark Williams (restricted), Jamaree Bouyea (team option), Koby Brea (restricted), Isaiah Livers (restricted) and Amir Coffey.
