Suns’ Collin Gillespie just outside top 100 players in The Athletic ranking
Setting a new Suns record for 3-pointers made in a single season with 232, Collin Gillespie took a big step forward in Year 3.

Phoenix Suns guard Collin Gillespie found himself just outside the top 100 players in The Athletic analyst Law Murray’s end-of-season player tiers released Monday.
Using qualifiers such as minutes played, shot creation and versatility in other aspects of the game, Gillespie landed in the 5A tier as a quality rotational player after being unranked the year prior.
Collin Gillespie should earn himself a multi-year deal with how well he played his role in Phoenix. He’s small and isn’t much of a scorer, but he has a nose for the ball, makes sound decisions and was one of 10 40% 3-point shooters (minimum 50 games) to make at least 2.5 3s per game

On top of his sharpshooting, Gillespie set career marks in points (12.7), rebounds (4.1), assists (4.6) and steals (1.2) per game.
He also saw a massive jump in playing time, starting 58 of 80 games played, two more career marks for the guard.
Of the Suns’ impending free agents, Gillespie is a player to watch this offseason after what he put on tape.
Suns’ Grayson Allen cracks tier 5B
Joining Gillespie in Monday’s ranking was teammate Grayson Allen, albeit a sub-tier lower at 5B.
Grayson Allen filled a variety of roles as a second-unit on-ball option, and while he showed more as a playmaker than ever on both ends of the floor, he also had his worst season as a shooter since his rookie year. Allen also missed 31 games and wasn’t healthy to begin the playoffs, and he’s 30 years old now.
Allen appeared in the fewest amount of games (51) since 2020-21 (50).
And although he set career marks in assists (3.8) and steals (1.4) per game, Allen shot just 35% from deep after going 42.6% and 46.1% the past two seasons, respectively.

Unless he signs a minimum contract to play for the Spurs or Thunder, he won't be winning an NBA title during his career. And the Suns won't be competitive until around 2035 thanks to giving away all their draft picks and the fact that no worthwhile free agent has any desire to come to this desert wasteland a play for the biggest idiot of an owner in the NBA.
Exactly. No way that CG is top 100. Hell, he wouldn't start for the vast majority of teams, and didn't even start for us once the former #2 overall bust came back from injury.
It looks like I am not the only one who values Collin Gillespie! A true point guard , hard nosed defense player a true Winner,a future Member of a NBA title! Lets hope it is as a Suns's roster member!
