Devin Booker receives 2 All-NBA votes, James Harden makes cut

The NBA announced its 2024-2025 All-NBA teams on Friday, decided by a media panel of 100 voters, and Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker received two third-team votes.

Booker was one of nine players to receive votes but fall short of the top 15 honorees.

Fellow Suns star Kevin Durant was ineligible since he missed out of the 65-game minimum (he played 62 games).

League MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City), Nikola Jokic (Denver), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee) and Jayson Tatum (Boston) were all unanimous first-team selections.

Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell rounded out the top five, beating out Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards and Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James.

Booker received consideration after finishing 12th in the NBA in scoring with 25.6 points per game. His shooting percentages from the floor (46.1%) and beyond the arc (33.3%) took a dive from his previous five seasons. Booker is a two-time All-NBA player, making the first-team in 2021-22.

All-NBA teams

First Team

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell

For the eighth consecutive year, Antetokounmpo was listed on every All-NBA ballot. That’s the longest active run in the NBA.

Antetokounmpo has seven first-team selections and nine appearances on the All-NBA team overall.

Gilgeous-Alexander, Jokic, Antetokounmpo and Tatum were all first-teamers last season as well.

Second Team

Jalen Brunson, Stephen Curry, Anthony Edwards, LeBron James, Evan Mobley

James is an All-NBA player for the 21st time in 22 seasons. He is the first 40-year-old to make an All-NBA team — he turned 40 in December.

James has 13 first-team appearances, four second-team selections and four third-team nods.

Curry made All-NBA for the 11th time, something only 21 players in NBA history have done.

Mobley made a team for the first time.

Third Team

Cade Cunningham, Tyrese Haliburton, James Harden, Karl-Anthony Towns, Jalen Williams

Sun Devil great Harden is an eight-time selection, Towns is a three-time pick, Haliburton made a team for the second time and Cunningham and Williams both are All-NBA for the first time.
