Dillon Brooks out for final game of Suns’ road trip at Jazz
Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks is out for Monday's matchup with the Utah Jazz due to right groin soreness.

Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks is out for Monday’s matchup with the Utah Jazz due to right groin soreness. Brooks was initially listed as questionable on the injury report.
Brooks has had groin injuries twice earlier in his career, once in 2023 and once in 2020.
He is second on the team, averaging 19.3 points through three games and is averaging 2.7 steals per game as one of the team’s key defensive stoppers.
In two seasons with Houston, Brooks missed 17 total games in the regular season and averaged more than 30 minutes per game in each of the last three seasons.
The Phoenix Suns debut for Jalen Green will be delayed again, as he will miss his fourth straight game to start the season with a right hamstring strain.
His next chance to take the floor for the Suns will be on Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies.
For the Jazz, Isaiah Collier (right hamstring strain) and Georges Niang (left foot stress reaction) were listed as out.
Tip off for Suns-Jazz is set for 6 p.m. and can be heard on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app.

Watching Maluach rolling to the rim for dunks shows me he isn't afraid of competing at the NBA level. Maluach start playing for the South Sudan National team at age 16, three years ago. Luol Deng had him at one of his basketball camps and he has played Professionally in a South Sudanese league. The youngster is a former refugee and has seen and lived through some stuff.
I'm not in the least bit concerned about his confidence. People from Sudan or South Sudan that can get to the United States believe they have died and gone to heaven. Nobody shaking this young mans confidence. He would literally destroy Deandre Ayton if it meant permanent US citizenship.
I would be wary to play Maluach and crush his confidence if he's not going to be able to hang... But if he's got the mentality for it I'd be fine to see him play. Suns won't really be competitive so I wouldn't mind it at all. I think they should trade Booker and build it all from the ground up.
Kalkbrenner is 4 years old than Maluach... Of course he's more NBA ready.
I have zero idea who will end up being better but they didn't draft Maluach to give him a bunch of minutes right away. He's a high ceilings project and they will bring him along slowly.
People need to maintain reasonable expectations around draft picks the Suns make. Last year people were talking about Dunn and Oso being building blocks of the future. These guys are role players at best. Maluach is a project so the coaching staff has to let him develop slowly.
