After the trade deadline, where are the Phoenix Suns slated to pick in upcoming drafts?

The latest Phoenix Suns move again shuffled the decks of their future picks, and the lack of a bigger deal left them poised to make two selections in this summer’s draft.

Every first-round pick Phoenix owns through 2030 comes attached with a “least favorable of” tag, meaning other teams have the right to jump the Suns in the order where applicable.

That’s especially key as Phoenix could find itself in the 2025 lottery — where Duke’s Cooper Flagg is considered the top prize — if it doesn’t make the final eight in the playoffs after the Play-In Tournament.

As of Thursday, it is 10th in the Western Conference standings (25-25) and tied with the ninth-place Sacramento Kings and 11th-place Golden State Warriors, which both made large moves at the deadline by acquiring Zach LaVine and Jimmy Butler, respectively.

Until the recent Nick Richards trade netted the Suns a 2025 second-round pick, they had only one pick in the later round (2028 via Boston Celtics) between the 2025 and 2031 drafts.

The 2026 second-rounder Phoenix received from the Charlotte Hornets in Thursday’s Jusuf Nurkic deal gave it a third second over the next seven drafts.

Where are the Suns slated to pick in future drafts?

• 2025: Least favorable first-round pick between Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves (projected to be No. 29); least favorable second-round pick between Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers (projected to land at No. 54)
• 2026: Least favorable first-round pick between Phoenix, Orlando Magic, Memphis Grizzlies and Washington Wizards; least favorable second-round pick between Golden State and Denver (via Charlotte)
• 2027: Least favorable first-round pick between Cleveland, Minnesota and Utah Jazz; no second-round pick
• 2028: Least favorable first-round pick between Phoenix, Washington, Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers; second-round pick via Boston Celtics (if it lands between Nos. 46-60)
• 2029: Least favorable first-round pick between Cleveland, Minnesota and Utah; no second-round pick
• 2030: Least favorable first-round pick between Phoenix, Washington and Memphis; no second-round pick
• 2031: No first-round pick (traded to Utah Jazz for 2025, 2027, 2029 first-round picks); no second-round pick.

This year’s draft begins on June 25 and continues on June 26. For the first time, the first and second rounds will be separated into multiple days.
