Suns guard Jalen Green has been fined $25,000 for using profane language during teammate Collin Gillespie’s live postgame interview on Monday following Phoenix’s win over the Washington Wizards.

James Jones, NBA executive VP and head of basketball operations, made the announcement on Tuesday.

The Suns had just defeated the Wizards in the nation’s capitol 115-101 and team reporter Amanda Pflugrad pulled Gillespie aside for a postgame interview. Gillespie, who had 25 points (10 for 14 shooting) and six assists, commented on how his teammates had found him for shots all game when Green interrupted the interview.

He was heard barking like a dog in Gillespie’s ear before letting an expletive loose and proceeding to say, “I don’t care.”

Green has only played five quarters this season since being acquired by Phoenix in the offseason. The 6-foot-4 guard has averaged 15.5 points, two rebounds and two assists in his limited time.

After originally looking at a return from injury post-Christmas, Green’s return timeline from a right hamstring strain got pushed back two to three weeks last Monday.

The Suns (19-13) close out the 2025 calendar year at the Cleveland Cavaliers (18-16) on Wednesday with a 1:30 p.m. tipoff.

Even though 25k is probably considered chump change to Green still not cool to be dropping F bombs during a G rated family show.
