Suns’ Jalen Green, Jordan Goodwin exit vs. Mavericks with injuries
Jalen Green and Jordan Goodwin exited the Phoenix Suns’ game against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday with injuries.

Jordan Goodwin will not return due to a left ankle injury, and Jalen Green is questionable to return with a right knee injury.
The pair exited the Phoenix Suns’ game against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday with injuries suffered at different stages in the first half.
Green checked out of the game at the 8:10 mark in the first quarter and limped off the court, going straight to the locker room.

After coming over in the Kevin Durant trade, Green has been limited to 32 games due to right hamstring and hip injuries.
The 23-year-old started all 82 games for Houston the past two seasons but dealt with a hamstring injury that he reaggravated during preseason training camp, and he again reaggravated it in his second game in a Suns uniform. He remained out for two and a half months before again reaggravating the issue in his second game after that return.
Since returning on Feb. 19 against the San Antonio Spurs, Green has played in each of the past 24 games for the Suns.
Green missed two shots in Wednesday’s game and recorded a rebound in the four minutes that he played before going to the locker room.
Jordan Goodwin exits in second quarter with ankle injury
Goodwin headed straight to the locker room with 4:53 remaining in the first half with a left ankle injury.
He played 13 minutes on Wednesday and had nine points on 3 of 7 shooting (3 of 4 from 3), to go along with three rebounds, an assist and a steal before exiting.

Goodwin has played in 70 of the Suns’ 80 games this season, missing time due to a calf injury.

The Suns play better without Jalen Green at this point. His role is too big to try and make this work after he missed so much time. Hopefully they just shut him down the rest of the way and see what this backcourt can do after another full offseason and training camp.
Losing Goodwin hurts, but I think Ott is getting too cute trying to play him at SF. This team will be better off with Dunn and Fleming taking those minutes at SF.
Khaman Maluach is a lot further along than most people gave him credit for. I got killed here for saying he’s going to challenge Mark Williams for the starting spot next season. Not that he would win the job; just that it’s going to be a battle. He just might be the Suns’ best rim-protector after what he’s shown lately.
Get win #45 against a hobbled L’s team on Friday and ride this momentum into the Play-In.

The first half of the season was a fortunate accident.
The Suns are who they are and who we thought they were before the season started.
You hate to see more injuries to a couple more key guys this late in the season, especially being high energy guys. You just pray it's precautionary and not serious as Green gives the Suns an athletic dimension they simply do not have. Jordan Goodwin gives them a dimension of hustle the Suns simply can't afford to be without.
I will say this though; all is not lost as the silver lining is Collin Gillespie perhaps will get back to playing with the controlled chaos and frenetic energy and bulldog determination that earned him the nickname from Dillon Brooks himself of "Villain Jr.". He had an undeniable impact on the Suns with a free-flowing offense that saw him become the Suns all-time single-season 3 pt. king with the way the Suns were rolling the first half+ of the season without Jalen Green for all but a single game.
And how about Khaman Maluach in his first NBA start?

As coach Ott keeps giving him minutes, good things have and will continue to happen! Props to Jordan Ott for making the call to call on the enthusiastic, energetic rookie. Lets get him some playoff experience and invest in the kid during this process which will loom large in the seasons to come!

Forget all the buIIshlt about the post All-Star break struggles especially without Dillon Brooks. He is back now and the Suns can be the lean, mean Valley machine if they stick with it and fully engage the opponent with NO FEAR; don't back up, don't back down, at any time!
Do that, get back to reclaiming their previously earned identity as "THE HARDEST WORKING TEAM IN THE NBA" and I like their chances and know they can compete with as anybody.
