Suns’ Jordan Goodwin to be reevaluated in 1-2 weeks for calf injury

Phoenix Suns guard Jordan Goodwin will be reevaluated in one to two weeks after suffering a left calf strain, the team announced Tuesday.

Goodwin suffered the injury in Saturday’s double-overtime win over the Orlando Magic.

In 25 minutes of work, Goodwin scored 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting and was 3 for 4 from 3. He added six rebounds, an assist and two steals and made both of his free-throw attempts.

Goodwin has carved out a role with Phoenix this season (54 games), averaging 8.9 points on 40.8% shooting and 35.6% from 3-point land. He’s added 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals across 22.3 minutes per game.

He marks one of the latest Suns injured.

Forward Dillon Brooks has a return timeline of four to six weeks due to a broken left hand suffered in the first quarter of Phoenix’s win over Orlando. He underwent surgery on Monday to repair the fracture.

Star guard Devin Booker is also on the mend with right hip soreness picked up in Thursday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

The Suns announced Saturday he’s expected to be reevaluated in a week.

Forward Haywood Highsmith has a re-evaluation timeline of two to three weeks due to knee rehabilitation.

Guard Grayson Allen, meanwhile, is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Boston Celtics due to right knee and ankle injury management.
