The Phoenix Suns assigned rookie center Khaman Maluach to the G League Valley Suns ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Rip City Remix at Mullett Arena.
He finished the outing with seven points on 3 of 7 shooting with eight rebounds and two blocks. He had five fouls and five turnovers in 29 minutes.
This was not Maluach’s first trip over to Tempe, as the Suns have taken advantage of their proximity to their G League affiliate to give rookies some game reps this season.
Maluach, the No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, played three minutes in Monday’s loss the Houston Rockets, even with starting center Mark Williams sitting out for injury management. He had not played in Phoenix’s previous four games.
The 19-year-old has played 37 total NBA minutes this season, sitting out more games than he’s played in for the Suns.
In his first G League game — also against the Remix — on Nov. 14, Maluach received 26 minutes and scored nine points with three rebounds and three blocks.
Phoenix has a road game on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings and another on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Keep him there for a month. He needs minutes and the conditioning. He is not going to change any outcomes this season, he needs to play.
He needs to be more dominant at that level of competition..
