Mikal Bridges wins another bet, this time at the Diamondbacks’ expense
Make that 2-0 for Suns' Mikal Bridges in friendly wagers this year after the Philadelphia native's Phillies won the series over the D-backs.

Make that 2-0 for Phoenix Suns wing Mikal Bridges in friendly wagers this year.
After Bridges’ Los Angeles Rams defeated Cam Johnson’s Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI back in February, the NBA Defensive Player of the Year finalist won another bet on Saturday — this time at the expense of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Philadelphia native and the D-backs — who are in the City of Brotherly Love for a three-game set with the Phillies — made a wager on Friday that would see the winner make good on the bet when the Diamondbacks host Bryce Harper and Co. in August.

Arizona lost the series opener on Friday, a hard-fought 7-5 loss in which the D-backs were trailing 6-0 before sparking a failed comeback attempt with a four-run seventh inning.
The Diamondbacks spoke a little too soon during that inning, too, giving Bridges the last laugh.

The Phillies won the series on Saturday, a 4-0 shutout of the Diamondbacks.
As a result, Mikal Bridges appreciation day at Chase Field will take place sometime between Aug. 29-31.
And coincidentally enough, the Suns wing will turn 26 years old on Aug. 30.
The D-backs play the three-game series finale on Sunday at 10:35 a.m.
Arizona LHP Kyle Nelson (1-0, 2.04 ERA) is scheduled to start against Philadelphia LHP Ranger Suarez (4-3, 4.42 ERA).
