Mr. ORNG represents Suns fans in NBA’s Christmas Day TV ad

The Golden State Warriors visit the Phoenix Suns in the heart of the NBA’s five-game Christmas Day schedule. Two weeks out from the teams’ third showdown this season, the league dropped a new TV spot to promote the big day of games.

The league turned to famous representatives of each team playing on Dec. 25, and Phoenix Suns superfan Mr. ORNG got the call to flash the purple and (mostly) orange on camera.

Mr. ORNG’s spot at the NBA family dinner table is next to a familiar face for Suns fans. Former NBA forward Shawn Marion is featured in the ad but is dressed in Dallas Mavericks gear — that is where he won an NBA championship, after all.

The commercial of a family sitdown around the dinner table also includes NBA legends like Dominique Wilkins (Atlanta Hawks), Robert Parish (Boston Celtics), Baron Davis (Golden State Warriors) and Pau Gasol (Los Angeles Lakers).

New York Knicks fans Desus Nice and That Kid Mero from Showtime’s Desus and Mero are also featured, rapper Quavo (Hawks), WNBA legend Sue Bird and actor Billy Crystal, as well as mascots for the Milwaukee Bucks and Utah Jazz are also featured.
