The Phoenix Suns and their team apparel crew have started up a new series of clothing entitled “Valley Threads,” a collection that will be designed by the players.

The first article of clothing comes from point guard Cam Payne.

Payne’s black hoodie has a “XV” listing of his jersey number in roman numerals with a custom Suns sunburst logo. The letters “DWUKD” are listed on one of the sleeves, which stands for, “Don’t wake up, keep dreaming.”

“An idiom adopted after meeting with Payneโ€™s pastor right before draft night in 2015. Never give up your dreams, never stop grinding,” the Suns’ website says of it.

That phrase can be seen on the back, including “Be You.” and Payne’ jersey number of No. 15.

A sweet bit of detail on the back that hoodie in the top-left corner of that No. 15 is the locations Payne played at over the course of his career, including three different countries like his stay with the Toronto Raptors and time overseas playing in China.

There’s also an asterisk, which according to the site, represents, “A cause for attention. Denotes the energetic force Cam Payne creates whether heโ€™s on a downhill drive to hyping the team on the sidelines.”

A last easter egg on the hoddie is that everything is left justified, which you’ll notice on the front with the sunburst and sleeve lettering.

Payne’s hoodie comes out on Friday exclusively at the Suns’ team shop at Footprint Center, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Phoenix Suns Charities.
