Rasheer Fleming, Khaman Maluach shine in Valley Suns loss
Rasheer Fleming scored 21 points and Khaman Maluach registered a double-double as the Suns rookies shined in G League action on Monday.

Rasheer Fleming scored 21 points, while Khaman Maluach registered a double-double as the Phoenix Suns rookies stood out in the Valley Suns’ 140-127 loss to the Salt Lake City Stars on Monday.
Fleming finished with 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting), with five rebounds and an assist. Maluach scored 15 points (6-of-11 shooting), with 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks, while shooting 60% from 3-point range.

Fleming was one of three players for the G League squad to score at least 20 points, along with Jaden Shackelford (25) and Damion Baugh (20).
Guard Elijah Harkless led the Stars with 28 points (on 12-of-24 shooting), five assists and three rebounds in the win.
The G League Suns will play the Stars again at Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah, on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Suns will be off until Thursday when they host the Golden State Warriors.

Quite the contrary, LeBron or no LeBron - the L’s are not in the same class as the Thunder, Nuggets or Rockets. They’re a 2nd tier Western Conference team along with the Spurs, Timberwolves, Warriors and Suns.
“Deandre Ayton is the starting center on the 18-7 Lakers which puts then in 3rd place in the West.”
It helps that they’ve been feasting on the likes of the Hornets, Mavericks, Bucks, Kings, Grizzlies and Clippers. They’ve also played the Blazers, Pelicans and Jazz twice already this season.
The L’s are 10-2 against sub-.500 teams, and 8-5 against quality opponents. They’re not exactly world-beaters, but if you want to crown ‘em…
