Ryan Dunn earned the Phoenix Suns’ 2024-25 Dan Majerle Hustle Award, the team announced on Thursday.

The annual honor is awarded to a Suns player who “personified the same hustle, grit and determination that Suns Ring of Honor member Majerle displayed as a player.”

Phoenix started handing out the award in 2003. P.J. Tucker holds the record as a four-time winner, while Mikal Bridges earned the hardware three times.

Dunn played 74 games as a rookie this past season, starting 44 of them. He started Phoenix’s final 16 games of the campaign.

Dunn averaged 6.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.1 stocks (steals and blocks) per game while shooting 43% from the field (31% on 3-pointers). His calling card was defense, and he took on some of the toughest assignments on the other team.

He received one first-place vote and seven second-place votes for the NBA’s All-Rookie teams but came up short of cracking the top 10.

The 22-year-old, drafted No. 28 overall out of Virginia last offseason, competed in the Rising Stars at the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend, becoming the first Suns player to do so since Deandre Ayton in 2020.
