Suns’ Devin Booker to play in preseason finale vs. Lakers

Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker will play in Thursday’s preseason finale at Footprint Center against the Los Angeles Lakers, head coach Mike Budenholzer confirmed Wednesday.

Booker missed the last two preseason games due to right ankle soreness. The 27 year old was given the go-ahead to play with the regular season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers right around the corner on Oct. 23. 

Booker played 22 minutes and scored 10 points on Oct. 8 against the Detroit Pistons and 14 minutes on Oct. 6 against the Lakers. Booker went 4-for-12 against Los Angeles but shot 50% from beyond the arc.

Budenholzer has yet to confirm whether center Jusuf Nurkic or wing Grayson Allen will play on Thursday. The former has been out all preseason with a finger injury and the latter out the last three games initially due to personal reasons followed by Achilles soreness.

However, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Nurkic will play in the preseason finale.
