The Phoenix Suns exercised the team’s fourth-year option on small forward Ryan Dunn and the third-year option on center Khaman Maluach, the team announced Thursday.
Dunn has played in 144 games (60 starts) for Phoenix across his first two years in the league. His production from Year 1 to Year 2 was very similar.
- Year 1: 6.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.1 stocks (blocks plus steals) in 19.1 minutes per game
- Year 2: 5.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 stocks in 19.4 minutes per game
The 23-year-old’s role will continue to be with the second unit for the 2026-27 season.
Maluach played in 46 games during his rookie season (one start), averaging three points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.8 stocks in 8.9 minutes per game.
While the playing time was low for the 20-year-old last season, he worked a lot with Devin Booker this offseason and should see a much larger role in 2026-27.
Add in the injury to Mark Williams, and Maluach will be competing with Oso Ighodaro for the starting role to start the season.
