Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant and Memphis Grizzlies guard Cam Spencer were assessed technical fouls after a kerfuffle in Monday’s game in Memphis.
After Spencer hit a 3-pointer toward the end of the third quarter to put the Grizzlies up five points, Spencer and Durant exchanged some words during a stoppage. Spencer initially started the dialogue, which led to Durant extending his leg in between Spencer’s own as Spencer was walking away.

Spencer didn’t trip and then Durant started talking, which led to Spencer’s teammate Desmond Bane approaching Durant.
After going face-to-face with each other, Durant then pushed Bane, which led to the players being separated.
After a review, Spencer and Durant were assessed technical fouls.
Bane received no foul for his role in the scuffle.
Spencer would finish the game with 16 points off the bench while shooting 4-of-7 from 3-point range as the Grizzlies would get the victory over the Suns 120-118. Durant finished the game with 35 points, five rebounds and five assists, while shooting 7-of-9 from 3-point range.
