Suns trade sharpshooter Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neale for Miles Bridges and future draft picks
The Suns have agreed to trade two key rotation players and a 2033 first-round pick for Hornets forward Miles Bridges and future draft capital.

The Phoenix Suns agreed to trade Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale to the Charlotte Hornets for Miles Bridges and future draft capital, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported.
In addition to Bridges, Phoenix gets a 2029 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick. Charlotte will also get a 2033 first-round pick.
Bridges, a 2018 first-round pick, is coming off a season where he averaged 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 77 games.
Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neale’s paths with the Suns
Allen departs Phoenix after spending the past three years with the Suns and signing a four-year, $70 million contract with the team two seasons ago.
The Suns acquired Allen in a three-team trade ahead of the 2023-24 season that sent Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Suns sent out center Deandre Ayton and forward Toumani Camara to Portland. Phoenix added center Jusuf Nurkic from the Trail Blazers and Allen from the Bucks.
Allen led the NBA in 3-point percentage (46.1%) in 2023-24, his first year with the Suns, while averaging 13.5 points per game. He started 74 of 75 games, a reliable offensive producer on a team that lacked much consistency.
The 30-year-old player took a step back two seasons ago, starting only seven of 64 games played while missing time with multiple injuries. He still shot well from deep at 42.6%, averaging 10.6 points per game in a more limited role.
Injuries limited him to just 51 games in 2025-26, but he averaged 16.5 points per game after starting the year on a tear in place of the injured Jalen Green. While his shooting percentages suffered with the ball in his hands (40% overall and 35% from 3), he set a career-high in assists (3.8) and points.
O’Neale arrived in Phoenix along with David Roddy as part of a three-team deal in the middle of the first full season of the Kevin Durant era.
In 78 games last season, O’Neale set a career-high in points (9.8), 3-point attempts (6.7) and assists per game (1.1).
The spacing he provided saw him knock down 212 treys in the year, which stands third in Phoenix franchise history. That’s behind teammate Collin Gillespie (232 in 2025-26) and Quentin Richardson (226 in 2004-05).
The 6-foot-4 wing provided shooting and defense over his 183 games with the club. He averaged 9.2 points on 40% 3-point shooting, along with 4.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game over the past two-plus seasons.
He was one of the Suns’ most available players in the past two years, playing in 75 and 78 games, respectively, in 2024-25 and 2025-26.

At least now we know what Suns' culture is. Who care if Bridiges beat up his partner in front of their kids and has a felony conviction. The Suns sure don't.
