The Phoenix Suns waived two-way guard Koby Brea and forward CJ Huntley on Monday.
Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro was the first to report the Huntley move.
Phoenix now has filled two of three two-way spots with Pat Spencer and Duop Reath and has one spot open.
Brea played in 12 games and shot 43.3% from 3 last season but did not see the floor too much due to the amount of depth the Suns had in their backcourt.
A second-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Brea mainly played in the G League on a two-way contract during his rookie year last season. In 25 games with the Valley Suns of the G League, Brea averaged 15.0 points on 38% shooting overall and 36% accuracy from deep. He added 4.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists in his 33.4 minutes per game.
He was signed to another two-way contract ahead of the upcoming season.
Huntley, a 6-foot-11 forward out of Appalachian State, played four games for the Suns last season and averaged 3.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 10 minutes per game.
He also averaged 16.0 points on 61.3% shooting to go along with 8.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 blocks across 29 regular season G League games last season.
