In 13 games as a junior last season, Hugo tallied 83 tackles including 21 tackles for loss. He added 9.5 sacks, forced and recovered a fumble, while he recorded 30 quarterback hurries.

Hugo is listed as the No. 50 EDGE and the 85th-best overall in Texas, according to Rivals.

The ASU commit had an official visit with Kenny Dillingham and company this past weekend.

“I was so ready to commit. I’ve never felt more at home compared to the other schools I’ve been to,” Hugo told Rivals. “The players that hosted me really made me feel at home. They welcomed me and brought me in like I was one of theirs. My family also loved everything that Arizona State had to offer. No other school stood out to me as much as Arizona State.”

Hugo is the Sun Devils’ third defensive player to commit in the 2026 class and the fifth player from Texas in the class. He marks another addition to ASU’s “Poly Pipeline” of recruits.
