Big 12 releases 2026-27 men’s basketball matchups for ASU, Arizona
The first year of the Randy Bennett era for the Sun Devils includes hosting of perennial powerhouses Houston, Iowa State and, of course, Arizona.

Arizona State and Arizona enter their third seasons as members of the Big 12 in 2026-27, and the conference revealed Thursday who their men’s basketball teams will host and where they’ll each visit.
The first year of the Randy Bennett era for the Sun Devils includes hosting of perenniel powerhouses Houston, Iowa State and, of course, Arizona.
ASU will also host BYU and No. 6 overall freshman Bruce Branch III, who attended Perry High School in the Valley before transferring to Prolific Prep in Florida.
The schedule for the Wildcats, the reigning Big 12 champions, includes home-and-away series with each of BYU and Houston — not to mention the rival Sun Devils.
Arizona will also host blue blood Kansas, who has the top recruit in the 2026 high school class, Tyran Stokes.

Kevin knows better than to write that the Devils are the Cats "rival" in men's hoops. When Arizona was in the Pac-10/12, the Ucla Bruins were their main rival, and in the Big 12, it's Kansas or any of the schools from Texas before it's the Devils . . . Football and baseball, yes, men's hoops . . . Nope.
