ASU WR tandem Reed Harris, Omarion Miller make ESPN’s top 100 newcomers list

The 2026 transfer class for Arizona State football was overall a strong one, and two of the players it landed were highly ranked on ESPN’s top 100 newcomers list.

A pair of wide receivers, Reed Harris (Boston College) and Omarion Miller (Colorado), were viewed by Billy Tucker as the 31st- and 33rd-best portal additions across the nation.

Tucker sees them as the fifth and sixth best at the receiver position among those to make his top-100 cut.

Those rated higher were Texas’ Cam Coleman (No. 2 overall), Indiana’s Nick Marsh (No. 11), Texas A&M’s Isaiah Horton (No. 12) and Florida’s Eric Singleton (No. 30).

Harris and Miller received the highest grades by 247 Sports among the Sun Devils’ 25 total transfer additions, with 0.96 and 0.95 scores, respectively.

ASU’s transfer haul is No. 22 in the country, according to 247 Sports, only trailing Texas Tech (No. 6) and Oklahoma State (No. 15) among Big 12 programs, the second of which having a whopping 55 commits.

Tucker broke down each newcomer based on the school’s “need” and the player’s “value.”

Concerning Harris, Tucker wrote that head coach Kenny Dillingham and offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo hope he’s able to fill some of the void left by Jordyn Tyson departing for the NFL.

With the starting quarterback job still unsettled, Harris should provide a reliable target regardless of who wins the competition. He plays to his size by utilizing an elite catch radius and big frame to create leverage and favorable matchups. He fills a lot of production given his ability to line up inside or out.

Look no further than his 6-foot-5 frame for Harris’ value, Tucker writes, as he is also “a fluid route runner who finds open space effectively.”

His best trait is his catch radius, as he routinely adjusts and contorts to make difficult catches. Harris is especially dangerous in contested-catch and red zone situations.

Miller was 247 Sports’ No. 2 wideout option and No. 9 overall player in the portal after he caught turned 45 catches into 808 receiving yards, both top-six marks in the Big 12 for Colorado. His 18 yards per catch led the conference.

The senior completes “a strong new receiving duo” for ASU, Tucker said, as it looks to return to the Big 12 Championship as was the case in 2024.

Miller is a playmaker with strong initial burst off the line of scrimmage and the ability to create explosive plays on short and intermediate routes. He also threatens defenses vertically with top-end speed. When the ball is in the air, Miller adjusts well to track throws in stride for difficult catches. Drops remain an area to clean up, but his skill set complements Harris well and adds another explosive element to Arizona State’s offense.

Former Sun Devils, running back Raleek Brown (Texas) and quarterback Sam Leavitt (LSU), were top-25 fixtures in Tucker’s listing.

Brown was Tucker’s No. 1 running back transfer (No. 21 overall) and Leavitt No. 3 overall, only behind Indiana’s Josh Hoover (No. 1 overall), who played at TCU last season.
