WR Jeremiah Johnson flips commitment from Navy to ASU for 2026 season

Arizona State football earned a commitment Sunday from wide receiver Jeremiah Johnson, who previously committed to Navy for the 2026 season, according to SunDevilSource.com’s Chris Karpman.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound wideout is from Rancho Mirage High School in California. Johnson played in six games in his senior season in 2025, catching 17 passes for 344 yards and seven touchdowns, according to MaxPreps.

Johnson is not ranked by 247 Sports, but Rivals lists him as a three-star recruit.

In addition to ASU and Navy, Johnson had offers from several other schools, including Northern Arizona, Utah Tech and Cal Poly.

Johnson, who is set to be the only true freshman ASU wideout this season, joins a crowded Sun Devils’ receivers room that saw several additions this offseason, including Omarion Miller, Reed Harris and Raiden Vines-Bright. He also joins a room that sees several receivers returning from last season, including Jalen Moss, Derek Eusebio and Jaren Hamilton.

ASU’s 2026 class was ranked 29th in the nation by 247 Sports.
