Arizona State starting WR Jalen Moss, DL Justin Wodtly out at Mississippi State, per reports

Arizona State starting slot receiver Jalen Moss and Sparky defensive lineman Justin Wodtly will not play at Mississippi State on Saturday, Chris Karpman of Sun Devil Source first reported.

Backup defensive lineman Zac Swanson was also ruled out for the contest.

Moss played 26 snaps against NAU and came up without a catch across two targets before Derek Eusebio saw increased action (34 snaps) but no targets.

Wodtly, listed as a starting Sparky lineman for sub-packages on ASU’s extended depth chart, played 17 snaps on Saturday, with time spent at each spot along the defensive line. Elijah O’Neal, the team’s other Sparky, finished with a sack and a tackle for loss across 56 snaps.

No update was reported for starting right tackle Max Iheanachor, who played 51 snaps on Saturday and was relieved by redshirt freshman Champ Westbrooks for 13 snaps, per PFF. Kenny Dillingham said on Monday his status was up in the air.

Iheanachor is viewed by some as an early-round prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft, listed at No. 41 on Dane Brugler of The Athletic’s recent top-50 prospects ranking.

Similar to the right tackle, center Ben Coleman did not return to the field after an apparent injury with five snaps to go. Wade Helton replaced him in the game, but Dillingham said on Monday Coleman would be good to go.

Guards Jimeto Obigbo and Kyle Scott were the only two offensive linemen to play all 64 snaps. Left tackle Josh Atkins was close, but he exited for a media timeout and one snap after coming up slow on a play.
