ASU football rocking maroon and gold with pitchfork helmets for Week 1 vs. NAU

Rather than kick off its 2025 home opener with Sparky at the forefront, ASU football revealed its Week 1 uniforms on Saturday will feature gold helmets with maroon pitchforks.

The visiting Northern Arizona Lumberjacks and fans at a sold-out Mountain America Stadium will see Sun Devils players donning home core threads with a maroon base and gold complements.

Like stacking ice cream scoops, the uniform flip flops between gold and maroon as you work your way down from head to toe. Or helmet to cleat.

“Arizona State” is written out in block lettering across the jersey’s front and on top of gold numbers with white trimming. The top left Big 12 logo is maroon with gold lining while the top right Adidas branding is solid gold.

Gloves, like the pants, will stand out in gold and maroon and gold-accented Adidas shoes will be tough for opponents to track in the nighttime sky.

NAU will be donned in all-white uniforms with dark blue numbers and gold accents. Its helmets will have transparent “NAU” lettering encapsulated by the outline of a dark blue axe head.
