Raleek Brown hits Prime Time Shuffle in the end zone after scoring vs. Colorado, Deion Sanders

Arizona State running back Raleek Brown knew exactly which coach was on the opposing sideline when he scored a touchdown at Colorado on Saturday.

Brown hit the “Prime Time Shuffle” that Deion Sanders made famous as a player in the end zone after he scored on a 33-yard reception.

Sanders became notorious for his flash and dance moves as a player, and Brown’s moves as ASU took a 10-7 lead in the first half were the latest example of homage being paid forward.

Brown had pickups of 11 and nine yards to start the drive before he scored as a pass catcher when Jeff Sims gave a head fake to the defense as though he was about to take off running.

Sims threw a bad interception on his next pass attempt, but Brown turned his next touch into a 59-yard breakaway gain.

It set up a brilliant play design where Jordyn Tyson threw from a receiver screen, and while Chamon Metayer had space in the end zone, Tyson’s throw was too far in front. The receiver made his presence felt earlier with a 42-yard reception in his return.

ASU went to the trickery earlier in the game too, a 19-yard pickup on a fake punt from Kanyon Floyd to defensive lineman Blazen Lono-Wong. The pair also connected on a fake punt in the Peach Bowl.

This was a game ASU needed to win to stay alive in the Big 12 title fight.
