SS Nu’u Contrades

The San Diego Padres selected Nu’u Contrades with the No. 186 pick in the sixth round.

Contrades had a career .324 batting average in four years (three full seasons) at ASU, collecting more than 200 hits and 145 RBIs.

The senior earned All-Big 12 first-team honors in 2026 behind a breakout year. Contrades hit .366 with a .979 OPS, 21 home runs and 61 RBIs. He had 15 home runs combined across his first three seasons with the Sun Devils.

RHP Derek Schaefer

The St. Louis Cardinals drafted Derek Schaefer with the No. 204 pick in the seventh round.

Schaefer spent two years at ASU after playing his freshman season at Tennessee. The junior held a 5.88 ERA across 33.2 innings pitched in 2026, collecting 42 strikeouts. He also earned nine saves, which ranked 26th in the nation and second in the Big 12.

The 6-foot-3 Arizona native finished his two-year ASU career with a 5.59 ERA across 66 innings pitched.

RHP Alex Overbay

The Pittsburgh Pirates drafted Alex Overbay with the No. 228 pick in the eighth round.

Overbay spent two years at UNLV before transferring to ASU for his junior season. The 6-foot-3 righty held a 5.79 ERA across 42 innings pitched with 50 strikeouts as a Sun Devil.

Prior to his time at ASU, Overbay was named to the Academic All-Mountain West Team in 2025.

In Overbay’s final outing as a Sun Devil, he threw 3.1 scoreless innings in the Lincoln Regional against Ole Miss.

LHP Sean Fitzpatrick

The Padres drafted Sean Fitzpatrick with the No. 245 pick in the eighth round.

Fitzpatrick played three years at ASU, holding a career 7.07 ERA across 69 innings, with 101 strikeouts. However, the southpaw broke out in his senior season.

The 6-foot lefty threw 26 innings and held a 3.12 ERA in 2026 with 45 strikeouts to earn All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors.

RHP Kole Klecker

The Minnesota Twins drafted Kole Klecker with the No. 287 pick in the 10th round.

Klecker spent his first three collegiate seasons at TCU before transferring to ASU. The 6-foot-2 Arizona native held a career 4.51 ERA across 233.1 innings pitched between TCU and ASU with 224 strikeouts.

As a Sun Devil, Klecker pitched to a 4.57 ERA across 69 innings in 13 starts his senior year. Klecker allowed two runs across his final 19 innings pitched at ASU.

RHP Jaden Alba

The Cardinals took Jaden Alba with the No. 414 pick in the 14th round.

Alba played three years at Arizona State, tossing a career 6.20 ERA across 97 innings, with 109 strikeouts.

In his senior season, Alba posted a 6.52 ERA in 17 games pitched, with 59 strikeouts and a 1.65 WHIP.

RHP Colin Linder

The Miami Marlins selected Colin Linder with the No. 445 pick in the 15th round.

The 6-foot-4 righty posted a 4-2 record with a 5.94 ERA and 62 strikeouts with the Sun Devils in 2026.

SS PJ Moutzouridis

The Twins drafted PJ Moutzouridis with the No. 557 pick in the 19th round.

Moutzouridis played his first two collegiate seasons at Cal before transferring to Arizona State for the 2026 season.

Moutzouridis slashed .286/.410/.417 with four home runs and 40 RBIs with the Sun Devils last season.

OF Dean Toigo

The New York Yankees drafted Dean Toigo with the No. 608 pick in the 20th round.

After playing at Nevada-Las Vegas in 2025, Toigo transferred to Arizona State for the 2026 season.

In 60 games, Toigo hit .321 with 20 home runs and 59 RBIs.
